Course Description
This course will prepare individuals like yourself to be trained in the RUMERTIME Process so that you can become equipped to volunteer in your community through the Listening Oasis Wellness Space (LOWS), a division of GCSCORED, Inc.(www.listeningoasiswellness.com).
Individuals who enroll in this course will also be required to enroll in our courses that teaches you how to Recognize signs of: ethical guidelines, social emotional imbalance, child abuse, suicidality, elder abuse, domestic abuse, and early childhood trauma.
Training topics that will be covered are:
- Mental & behavioral education and wellness
- Social-emotional wellness
- Multiculturalism
- Social Justice Counseling
- The RUMERTIME Process®
- Qualities of an effective Wellness Champion

SYLLABUS
This module focuses on GCSCORED and its mission, vision, purpose, goals, principles of practices.
This module focuses on the Rules of Engagement as we journey through the module. This includes, welcome letter, the confidentiality pledge, the photography and video forms,etc.
This module focuses on the Social Emotional First Aid(SEFA™) foundations, the building blocks of the training, the aim, the need for the training, who, what, why, and how of SEFA™ training.
This module focuses on Recognize, Plot One of the RUMERTIME Process® and how it relates to SEFA™.
This module focuses on Understand, Plot Two of the RUMERTIME Process® and how it relates to SEFA™.
This module focuses on Manage, Plot Three of the RUMERTIME Process® and how it relates to SEFA™.
This module focuses on Express, Plot Four of the RUMERTIME Process® and how it relates to SEFA™.
This module focuses on Reflect, Plot Five of the RUMERTIME Process® and how it relates to SEFA™.
This module focuses on the ability to conceptualize a Rumerizee’s story using the RUMERTIME Process® within the SEFA™ training.
This module focuses on assessing a Rumerizee’s story using the RUMERTIME Process® within the SEFA™ training.
This module focuses on Rumerizing a Rumerizee’s story using the RUMERTIME Process®.
This module focuses on life stories of Rumerizees.
SEFA™ participants will be required to participate in:
- Live presentations/discussions
- Recorded discussions
- Role plays
- Extended readings
- Viewing videos/podcasts
- Reflective writings
- Discussion questions
- Demonstration of knowledge, mindset and skill proficiency through video recordings.
They will be required to complete:
- Pre/post assessments
- Video and photo permission release form
- Successfully pass (80% pass rate) an end of Module assessments.
- Upon completion of this 60-hour course, participants (now Wellness Champions) will:
- Receive a certificate of completion
- Have the ability to volunteer at the Listening Oasis Wellness Space(www.listeningoasiswellness.com) Volunteer
- Receive supervision/coaching from a GCSCORED designee following the 60-hour training as long as they are providing SEFA™.
